The FCEM(SA) examination comprises Part 1 and Part 2. Part 1 covers basic sciences (anatomy, pathology, physiology, pharmacology); Part 2 covers the theory and practice of emergency medicine.
Part 2 must be passed within six years of passing Part 1, failing which Part 1 will have to be repeated.
